Have a busy timetable? Fine. Don't want to travel far? Fair enough. Prefer online? Your choice.

We'll work around your schedule so that it fits around your university life. Once you've joined our team, we'll offer students around your timetable that you can choose to accept.

  • Schedule students around your timetable (2 to 6+ hours a week)
  • Teach the subjects you're good at and enjoy
  • Lessons are conducted online, or close to home (usually within 5KM)

Our pay

In-Person Tutoring Online Tutoring
Starting Pay $36.00 / hour * $26.00 / hour *
Average Pay (across all our tutors) $42.25 / hour ** $30.02 / hour **
Pay Cap $48.00 / hour $38.00 / hour
* These are indicative starting rates. Other bonuses, rate adjustments, etc will be shared with you in next steps.
** This is the overall mean earnings across all tutors in the last 12 months. Experienced tutors, and tutors who keep their students for longer earn more than tutors just starting out.

Requirements

  • If you sat NCEA, you would need Excellence subject endorsements for the subjects you want to tutor
  • If you sat CIE, you would need A's or A*'s for the subjects you want to tutor
  • If you sat IB, you would need a 6 or 7 for the subjects you want to tutor
  • Ideally, your current University GPA is at least 6.0 (but we completely get that you may not have a GPA yet)
